Richard Blade

THE DEL OPERATOR IN THEORETICAL PHYSICS

This book bridges the gap between ordinary vector analysis as presented in standard textbooks and the background needed to study advanced electromagnetism or relativity theory. It also bridges the gap between the notation of vector analysis and that of tensor analysis, introducing dyadics early, and making significant use of them throughout the book.

Background required: Undergraduate degree in physics, mathematics, or engineering.
